Be the change you wish to see in the world

Lately I've been learning that love means giving the best of what you have to those who need it most. Over the past four years I've learned that the needs of this world are overwhelming. Sometimes I feel caught between the grief of the problems and the guilt of not knowing what to do. All that has been changing for me. I've learned that there is a way for me to use the best of what I can offer to help those who need it most. This summer I have a chance to invest my time and talents into schools in Northern Uganda. These schools have been ravaged by civil war for decades. Now they are being restored. Thousands of US schools have raised millions of dollars to restore and rebuild school buildings. The teacher exchange program is a chance to invest into the Ugandan teachers who will empower the next generation of Ugandan youth. If I can play a part in this restoration, I'm all in.
